This has happened to me a lot in the middle of an adventure. And this also constantly takes about half an hour to achieve. So I developed some simple rules to take care of this situation.

Section A: Finding a Store


There are four main different places to get a weapon: from a legal store, from an illegal store (such as a stuffer shack), a fixer, or from a fence.
To find a store, use the groups average intelligence score (round down), against target number depending on the type of store.

Legal Store Target Number 4
To find a legal store, look in the phone book. There will be many avalible. These stores usually sell pistols and rifles or shotguns. Nothing heavy. Their prices are about average.
Illegal Store Target Number 6
A legal store may be a front for selling illegal munitions. However, any underground place will do. Their selection includes nearly everything, and their supply is generally kept. Prices may be from average to above average.
Fixer Target Number 8
Gain anything you need from a fixer. Call em up, tell them what, where, and when. Make a simple Avalibility test. Prices are usualy above average, although negotiations are common.
Fence Target Number 8
Stuff moves fast. Generally heavy weapons and artillery are kept here, only to be sold in a few hours. Fences are hard to find, although the shadowrunners may be lucky enough to find one. Fence finding rules have a base target number of 4, base time of 10 days.

The items they sell are from a large variety, and prices are generally lower then normal.

Make another intelligence test against a target number depending on what you need to purchase.
